Templates

Templates are professionally designed section layouts provided by inploi. When you add a new section to a page, you can browse the template library and insert one as a starting point — then customise it to match your brand. Unlike prefabs, inserting a template creates a one-off copy in your page. There is no ongoing link to the template, so changes to the original template in the library do not affect pages where you have already inserted it.

Browsing templates

When you add a new section to a page and choose Template, a gallery (“Create a section from template”) opens with all available templates organised by category.
CategoryWhat it includes
HeroLarge header sections with image, heading, and call-to-action button
NavbarSite navigation bar layouts
FooterSite footer layouts with links and social icons
CreativeFeature sections, testimonials, image galleries
BannerAnnouncement strips and promotional banners
MiscOther utility layouts
You can filter by category or search by name. Template names should be generic and brand-agnostic because templates are used as starting points across sites. For example, use “Two-column Hero” or “Job Listings Grid” rather than a customer-specific name. See Naming conventions.

Inserting a template

1
Open the page editor
2
Go to CMS → Pages and open the page you want to edit.
3
Add a new section
4
Click Add section where you want the template to appear.
5
Choose Template
6
Choose Template to open the template gallery.
7
Preview and choose
8
Click any template to preview it. When you’ve found one you want to use, click Insert template.
9
Customise the section
10
The template is now copied into your page. Update the text, images, colours, and layout to match your brand. The template is a starting point — it’s completely editable.

After inserting a template

Once a template is inserted into a page, it behaves like any other section. You can:
  • Edit individual blocks within it
  • Add or remove columns
  • Change the section background
  • Rearrange or delete blocks
If you find yourself inserting the same template repeatedly and then making the same customisations, consider saving the result as a prefab instead.
Templates are created and maintained by inploi. The CMS → Templates page, where the library is managed, is mainly for inploi staff and may not appear in your navigation. As a customer, you use templates when adding a section in the page editor. If you need a layout that isn’t available, contact your inploi account manager.

FAQs

No. A template is copied into your page as a one-time, independent section. Editing it only changes that page — unlike a prefab, which stays linked.
That’s expected. The Templates library is managed by inploi and is mainly for inploi staff. As a customer you use templates when adding a section in the page editor.
