Sources

Use the Sources view to understand where candidate activity and applications come from, how much you are spending across channels, and which sources are driving the most cost-effective hires.

Date range

Filtering is based on the date of application. Use the date picker in the top-right corner to select a date range. All metrics — spend, job views, applications, cost per apply, hires, and cost per hire — are calculated for applications that completed within the selected period, creating a hiring funnel view anchored to when candidates applied.

Filtering

Use the filter bar at the top of the view to segment data:
  • All traffic / Paid / Organic - Limit the view to paid channels, organic channels, or all traffic combined
  • Category - Filter by channel category, such as Paid Job Site, Organic Job Site, or Organic Social
  • Channel search - Search for a specific channel by name, such as Indeed or LinkedIn
  • Campaign - Filter by a specific tracked campaign
Filters can be combined. For example, you can filter to Paid Job Sites and then search for a specific channel within that category.

Metrics

The summary row at the top of the view shows totals for the selected date range, with a percentage change compared to the previous equivalent period:
MetricDescription
SpendTotal amount spent across paid channels
Job viewsTotal number of job page views
ApplicationsTotal number of completed applications
Cost per applyAverage spend per completed application
HiresNumber of candidates marked as hired in your ATS
Cost per hireAverage spend per hire

Views

Sources

A breakdown of performance by individual channel. Each row shows spend, job views, applications, cost per apply, hires in ATS, and cost per hire for a single source. Channels are categorised as paid or organic.

Campaigns

A breakdown of performance by tracked campaign. Use this view to evaluate the effectiveness of specific recruitment campaigns running across one or more channels. Campaign data is populated by the utm_campaign parameter on your job posting links — see UTM and campaign tracking for how to set this up.

Performance over time

A chart showing how key metrics trend across the selected date range. You can split performance by:
  • Day - Daily breakdown
  • Week - Weekly totals
  • Month - Monthly totals
  • Day of week - Aggregate by day of the week to identify patterns in candidate activity
Use the Download button to export the chart data.

Show all metrics

Toggle Show all metrics in the top-right corner to expand the table columns and display the full set of available metrics for each channel or campaign.
Blank or unknown source data usually means a candidate arrived via a link without tracking information. This is common with email links and some job board integrations.
