Syncing from Automations

Applications, scores, and shortlist decisions are written to Talent Bank by Automations. An automation runs when an application event happens — typically after an application is submitted — and uses Talent Bank nodes to keep candidate data current.

Talent Bank nodes

NodeWhat it does
Sync application to Talent BankIdentifies the candidate and stores their application in Talent Bank
Sync score to Talent BankSyncs an application’s score into Talent Bank
Sync shortlist to Talent BankSyncs a shortlist decision into Talent Bank
See the full node library for everything else an automation can do.

Order matters

Sync the application before syncing a score or a shortlist for it. The score and shortlist nodes attach to an application that already exists in Talent Bank, so the application sync has to run first. A typical automation after an application is submitted looks like:
1

Score the application

Use a Score application node to evaluate the application against your criteria.
2

Sync the application

Use Sync application to Talent Bank to identify the candidate and store the application.
3

Sync the score

Use Sync score to Talent Bank to attach the score to the synced application.
4

Shortlist (optional)

Use Sync shortlist to Talent Bank to move qualifying candidates to Shortlisted automatically.
Shortlists synced this way are recorded as automation actions, so they appear in the application’s history alongside actions taken by your team.
Talent Bank nodes depend on your setup. If applications are not being synced, check that your automation includes a Sync application to Talent Bank node and that it runs before any score or shortlist sync. See creating automations.
