Indeed has changed how candidates apply to jobs listed on their platform. These changes affect every employer who uses Indeed to attract candidates.

What Indeed now requires

Indeed now routes candidates through their own application process for most job listings. In practice:
  • Candidates who find your job on Indeed are taken through an Indeed-hosted application form first.
  • Indeed requires that 95% of your job postings support their one-click apply flow.
  • Only complex roles (for example, some public sector jobs) are exempt.

What this means for you

If your ATS doesn’t support Indeed Apply natively, candidates who come from Indeed will be redirected to your careers site to complete their application. inploi handles this redirect automatically — you don’t need to do anything to enable it.
Your analytics dashboard will continue to show Indeed as a source for any candidate who clicks through from Indeed to your careers site.

How inploi handles the redirect

The specific behaviour of the Indeed redirect depends on your ATS and your inploi account configuration. Contact your inploi account manager to confirm how this is set up for your account.
Candidates complete basic information on Indeed, then land on your branded careers site to finish the application. This means:
  • You still get the full application data.
  • Candidates still see your employer brand.
  • You stay compliant with Indeed’s requirements.

What about jobs sourced from my ATS?

Indeed now pulls job listings directly from ATS systems rather than from job feeds. If your ATS is integrated with inploi, your jobs will continue to appear on Indeed automatically. You don’t need to manage a separate feed.
If you have a high dependency on Indeed for candidate traffic (over 50% of your applications), speak to your inploi account manager about diversifying your sourcing strategy. Relying on one channel creates risk if Indeed changes its policies again.

What to do if this doesn’t work

If you notice a sudden drop in applications from Indeed, check whether your Indeed feed is still active. Then contact your inploi account manager to confirm the integration is configured correctly for the latest Indeed requirements.
