Google for Jobs shows job listings directly in Google Search results. Getting your jobs listed there is free and typically brings in a significant volume of candidates. Your inploi careers site is built to be compatible with Google for Jobs. Most of the technical setup is handled automatically.
This feature may not be available in your account yet, or may require confirmation from inploi that your site is correctly configured. Contact your inploi account manager to confirm your site is Google for Jobs ready before proceeding.

What you need to do

1
Confirm your custom domain is live
2
Google for Jobs only indexes jobs on your live custom domain (e.g. careers.yourcompany.com), not the staging URL. Make sure your DNS switchover is complete before proceeding.
3
Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console
4

Log in to Google Search Console

Go to search.google.com/search-console and add your domain if you haven’t already.

Go to Sitemaps

In the left menu, click Sitemaps.

Enter your sitemap URL

Your sitemap URL is your careers site domain followed by /sitemap.xml. For example: careers.yourcompany.com/sitemap.xml

Click Submit

5
Wait for Google to index your jobs
6
Google typically indexes new sitemaps within a few days. Once indexed, your jobs start appearing in Google Search results.
Google for Jobs pulls job details automatically from your job pages. You don’t need to submit jobs individually. As long as your sitemap is submitted and your domain is live, new jobs appear in Google for Jobs as Google re-crawls your site.
Check your Google Search Console regularly for crawl errors. If Google can’t access certain pages, those jobs won’t appear in search results.

What to do if this doesn’t work

If your jobs aren’t appearing in Google for Jobs after a week:
  1. Check that your sitemap URL is accessible by visiting it in a browser. If it returns an error, contact your inploi account manager.
  2. Check Google Search Console for any coverage errors on your job pages.
  3. Confirm your custom domain is fully live and not redirecting to the staging URL.
