# Overview

Use the Overview to get a high-level summary of hiring performance across your careers site and job distribution channels.

## Date range

Filtering is based on the **date of traffic**. Use the date picker in the top-right corner to select a date range. All metrics reflect activity that occurred within the selected period, compared to the previous equivalent period.

## Metrics

The summary row shows totals across the selected date range:

| Metric                 | Description                                                          |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Candidates** | Total number of unique candidates who visited your careers site |
| **Job views** | Total number of job page views |
| **Applications** | Total number of completed applications |
| **View-to-apply rate** | The percentage of job views that resulted in a completed application |
| **Total hires in ATS** | Number of candidates marked as hired in your ATS |
| **Spend** | Total amount spent on paid job distribution |

## Charts

Below the summary, the Overview displays trend charts for candidates, job views, applications, and apply rate over the selected date range. You can split the charts by:

* **Day** - Daily breakdown
* **Week** - Weekly totals
* **Month** - Monthly totals
* **Day of week** - Aggregate by day of the week to identify patterns in candidate activity

### Application sources

A donut chart showing the breakdown of applications by source. Use this to get a quick read on your channel mix — for example, how much of your application volume comes from organic search versus paid job boards.
